JobStreet.com - The Most Preferred Job Search Engine
XMG, with its unbiased IT research, conducted a research on media habits of IT Professionals, where the respondents were asked on how they learned about their job opening of their work, previous or current. From its survey, many respondents say that they discovered their job opening thru referrals or word of mouth and from the internet, along with other choices like newspaper, radio, billboard, head hunters and others.
JobStreet.com is the most preferred job search engine by IT Professionals in the Internet as conducted by XMG. Founded by Mark Chang in 1997, JobStreet.com has become one of the leading Internet Recruitment websites in the Asia-Pacific today. The results showed that Jobstreet.com is the most widely used job search engine, next was JobsDB ranking at second followed by Bestjobs.ph and Trabaho.com along with other job engines.
The survey also shows that majority of the respondents use job search engines when looking for job openings while the rest aren’t using job engines, this shows that job engines like JobStreet.com are becoming one of the most effective way to find jobs because of its convenience. Also, the respondents were asked on what specific day they visit a job search engine, the result shows that Sunday has the most number of percentage followed by Saturday. This shows that many job seekers usually visit job search engines on weekends than on weekdays.
With the introduction of job search engines, job hunting has becoming easier and more convenient, from job categories such as engineering, legal, insurance, social work and teaching, job searchers can just deposit their resumes and submit them to any potential employers, employers can also post their job ads and can search for potential employees.
